How to Wear A SARI and Enjoy it| India Fashion

Hi there, welcome to my blog! Today I'm going to share with you some tips on how to wear a sari and enjoy it. A sari is a traditional garment worn by many women in South Asia, especially in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. It consists of a long piece of fabric that is draped around the body in various ways, depending on the region, culture and occasion. A sari can be very elegant, colorful and versatile, but it can also be tricky to put on and manage. So here are some of my personal advice on how to rock a sari with confidence and style.

First of all, you need to choose the right sari for you. There are many types of saris, made from different materials, such as cotton, silk, chiffon, georgette, crepe, etc. Some are plain, some have prints, embroidery, sequins or beads. Some are light and airy, some are heavy and stiff. The choice depends on your preference, budget and the occasion you're wearing it for. For example, if you're going to a wedding or a formal event, you might want to opt for a silk or chiffon sari with some embellishments. If you're going for a casual or everyday look, you might prefer a cotton or georgette sari with a simple design.

Secondly, you need to have the right accessories to go with your sari. These include a blouse (also called choli), a petticoat (also called lehenga), a pair of shoes and some jewelry. The blouse is a fitted top that covers your upper body and usually matches the color or the border of the sari. The petticoat is a skirt that goes under the sari and helps to hold it in place. It should be comfortable and not too tight or too loose. The shoes should be comfortable and easy to walk in, as you might have to adjust your sari from time to time. The jewelry should complement your sari and your personality. You can wear earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings or anything else that suits your style.

Thirdly, you need to know how to drape your sari properly. There are many ways to drape a sari, but the most common one is called the nivi style. Here are the basic steps:

- Start by tucking one end of the sari into your petticoat at your waist on the right side.

- Wrap the sari around your waist once from right to left.

- Make sure the lower edge of the sari is at the same level as your ankles.

- Take the other end of the sari (called the pallu) and bring it over your left shoulder from behind.

- Adjust the pallu so that it hangs down to your knees or lower.

- Make some pleats in the pallu and secure them with a safety pin or a brooch on your shoulder.

- Make some more pleats in the front part of the sari and tuck them into your petticoat at your waist on the left side.

- Adjust the pleats so that they are neat and even.

- Voila! You have successfully draped your sari!

Lastly, you need to enjoy wearing your sari and have fun with it. A sari is not just a piece of cloth, it's a symbol of culture, heritage and beauty. It can make you feel graceful, feminine and confident. It can also express your mood, personality and creativity. You can experiment with different colors, patterns and styles of saris and find the ones that suit you best. You can also accessorize your sari with different blouses, shoes and jewelry and create different looks for different occasions. The possibilities are endless!

I hope you found this blog post helpful and informative. If you have any questions or comments about wearing a sari, feel free to leave them below. I would love to hear from you! And if you liked this post, please share it with your friends who might also be interested in learning how to wear a sari and enjoy it. Thanks for reading!

Living art: Meet Harajuku's ethereal fashion icon

Hey, what's up? If you're into fashion, you've probably heard of Harajuku, the district in Tokyo that's famous for its colorful and eclectic street style. But have you ever wondered who are the people behind the outfits? Well, today I'm going to introduce you to one of them: Yohji, a living art piece who has been turning heads with his ethereal and surreal looks.

Yohji is not your typical fashionista. He doesn't follow trends or brands. He creates his own style from scratch, using materials like feathers, flowers, lace, and even plastic bags. He says he wants to express his inner world through his clothes, and he doesn't care about what others think of him. He calls himself a "living art" because he believes that fashion is a form of art that can change the world.

Yohji's inspiration comes from many sources, but especially from nature and fantasy. He loves to mix elements from different cultures and eras, creating a unique and whimsical aesthetic. He says he feels like he belongs to another dimension, and he wants to share his vision with others. He often poses for photos in Harajuku, where he attracts a lot of attention from tourists and locals alike. Some people admire him, some people are curious, and some people are confused. But Yohji doesn't mind. He says he enjoys interacting with people and making them smile.

Yohji's fashion journey started when he was a teenager. He was bored with the conventional clothes he had to wear at school and at home, and he wanted to express his individuality. He started experimenting with different fabrics and accessories, and soon he discovered Harajuku. There, he found a community of like-minded people who supported his creativity and encouraged him to be himself. He also met some of his idols, like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Sebastian Masuda, who are famous for their kawaii and pop art style.

Yohji says that fashion is not only a hobby for him, but also a way of life. He spends hours every day planning and making his outfits, and he never wears the same thing twice. He says he wants to challenge himself and surprise people with his creations. He also hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams and express themselves freely. He says that fashion is a powerful tool that can make people happy and confident.

Yohji is not only a living art, but also a living legend in Harajuku. He has been featured in many magazines and websites, both in Japan and abroad. He has also collaborated with some famous brands and artists, like Moschino and Lady Gaga. He says he is grateful for all the opportunities he has had, but he also wants to stay true to himself and his vision. He says he doesn't want to become famous or rich, but he wants to make a difference in the world with his art.
